Gotham and KDM Trading does not support the “religious” HiFi - cables available in the consumer market with exorbitant priced wild constructions offering nothing but high prices with no benefit to the sound. There is no good sound caused by any cable. Best thing one can do, is to transport the signal without changing it from its origin characteristics. And this is achieved by using best possible shielding as 1st priority. This is the Gotham Cable philosophy.

Digital Audio

Digital audio interconnects cables for the AES-EBU format. Such cables are having big potential to generate jitter to the audio signal. This can be caused by multiple mismatches on the cable runs. These mismatches (changed impedances) are controlled on our AES cables with the 2 stabilization strand wound together with the 2 connectors carrying the actual signal.

Unbalanced digital audio signal cables, with precise 75 Ohm impedance are perfect for S/PDIF signals. Low attenuation by using Gotham cables are the result of uning genuine silver coated conductor and shield.

Balanced analogue audio

Balanced analogue audio cables Microphone cables are built to protect the relative low-level signal from RF influences which can be picked up in the cable runs. GAC- 2 and GAC-3 are available in different jacket colors.

In addition Gotham "Star-Quad" cables are the most advanced microphone cables presently available. Combining an ultraflexible PVC-jacket, low capacitive PE insulation, "double Reussen shielding" and quad (4-conductor) construction for a truly professional cable at an affordable price. The "Star-Quad" concept is known and recommended where the RF-rejection is the most important factor and where very long cable runs are needed. As we use each 2 conductors for low and high signal, we reduce the signal loss by 50% and due to the offset of the incoming RF-signal by the way the 4 conductors are twisted, the RF-rejection is over 130dB (25 kHz). The exclusive double shielding does its part of these features as well.

Gotham cables range also includes a number of cable types for installation wiring of studios, these can be the 10202 foil sheilded twisted pair to the 10901 installtion verison of the Star Quad cables mentioned above and right up to mutli-core cables with up to 48 pairs.

Unbalanced analogue audio (single ended)

Unbalanced audio cables: Gotham Audio's double shielded GAC-1 (10001-8) is the only double shielded unbalanced audio cable available to our knowledge. The best possible shielding will protect your low energy audio signal from intruding noise and disturbance signals.
